Title : Effectiveness of PAIVM with TENS Vs PAIVM with PEMF in case of cervical Radiculopathy”, a comparative study

Abstract :

Neck pain is one of the most common leading cause of disability worldwide. Almost everybody will suffer from pain on upper back at some point in their lives. It generally make a negative directional function in daily activity like brushing, washing, bathing, eating, holding objects, etc. This study is aims to assess the impact of pulsed magnetic field therapy Vs transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and as with passive assesory inter vertebral movement in cervical backache.

Subjects and Methodology: the total number of subjects(N=110) consists of 55 subjects in two group. After screening of inclusion and exclusion criteria, back pain functional scale score was assessed. After the informed consent PEMF, PAIVM and TENS were applied as per the protocol. Group-1 received PAIVM with TENS and group-2 received PAIVM with PEMF. Each group received 10min of relaxation and 10min of PAIVM, especially group-1 received TENS for 20 min and group-2 received PEMF for 20min. both the group received 40mins of interventions for 15 days.

Results and Conclusion: The group-1 participants having a better score than group-2, concluded the effects of PAIVM with TENS is more precious than PAIVM with PEMF.
